On their way to attend and participate in the “13th Märklin Days” and “38th International Model Railway Exhibition” events in Göppingen, Germany, the Fermodel delegation took the opportunity to make a small detour, to visit what is considered the biggest and best model of trains around the world, the “Miniatur Wunderland” in Hamburg. It is a living model railway layout, always undergoing renovation and growth, and where the numbers speak for themselves, according to the attached visit photo, taken on 9/13/2023.
The group, in addition to visiting all the themed models, had the opportunity to visit, in small private groups, behind the scenes of the operation, allowing them to learn about some of the details and technological solutions used in the gigantic operation, which is the daily management of the various areas themes, all interconnected with each other.
As a complement, and as expected, the Fermodel delegation completed this small, but also obligatory detour, traveling by ICE from Hamburg to Stuttgart.
