Portuguese TV Broadcaster SIC reported about Fermodel in its evening news "Jornal da Noite" on the 30th of December 2021 as part of a week long series of segments about trains around the world.
Fermodel, a group of model railway enthusiasts, has its own headquarters provided by the President of the Parish Council of Carcavelos & Parede which houses a Märklin model railroad that is being built bit by bit with enthusiasm and contributions from every member. This Märklin model railroad was the centre piece of the broadcast and can be visited by anyone by prior appointment.
We thank Paulo Antunes from ComboiosEléctricos , a model train hobby shop in Oeiras (about 15Km from Lisbon) for having introduced Fermodel to SIC as the reference of railway modelling in Portugal which has enabled our hobby to be broadcast nationally.
